**Short answer:** To get a valuation for 30 June 2027, use the Valuation Day form: choose business, property or both, and the fee is fixed in writing before any work starts. The ATO says a 30 June 2027 valuation should not be obtained before that date, so that value is prepared afterwards.

The form asks what you would like valued (business, property or both) and shows the fee for that choice, then asks for your name, phone and email. We reply within one business day. No obligation. The fee is fixed in writing before any work starts.

## Questions people ask

### Do I need a valuation for 30 June 2027?

Not necessarily. Where the 30 June 2027 rules apply, the law uses market value just before 1 July 2027 unless the owner chooses an apportioning method, a formula not yet made. [The ATO says](https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/investments-and-assets/capital-gains-tax/capital-gains-tax-reform) most assets, including real estate, will need that value when sold. Ask your accountant (ITAA 1997 s 112-155, s 112-185).

### Why talk to Oliver Group now if the 30 June 2027 value comes later?

A planning valuation, a signed value at today's date, shows where you stand, and Oliver Group's business package includes the 30 June 2027 update. [The ATO said on 19 October 2026](https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-and-super-professionals/for-tax-professionals/tax-professionals-newsroom/cgt-reform-guidance-and-market-valuations) that a 30 June 2027 valuation should not be obtained before that date, so the update is prepared after it.

### What does a 30 June 2027 valuation cost?

Business: $1,995 + GST for established businesses under $2 million turnover, 30 June 2027 update included, or $1,495 + GST for one date; $2 million or more, fixed fee confirmed in writing on the first call. Property: quoted in writing before any work begins, for properties in NSW, VIC, ACT and NT. Both: $300 off the Oliver Group business fee when a property is added.

### Who signs a Valuation Day valuation report?

Business reports signed by Jackson Wilson, Oliver Group: these cover businesses, private company shares and trust units. Property is valued and signed by a property valuer, never Oliver Group. Either way, the fee is fixed in writing before any work starts.
