Privacy statement

Oliver Group runs Valuation Day. We collect only what you give us, such as your name, phone, email and what you would like valued, and use it to answer your enquiry or send what you asked for. We do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

Last updated 24 October 2026.

Valuation Day is an education platform by Valuo. Valuations are by Oliver Group, part of Valuo. Oliver Group is operated by Valuation Group Pty Ltd, ABN 48 702 469 252. Plain English, because that is how we write everything: we collect only what you give us, we use it only to do the work you asked about, and we delete it when it is no longer needed, or when you ask.

What we collect

Information you choose to give us: your contact details (name, email and phone) and what you would like valued, sent through the enquiry form, with your annual turnover band if you choose to give it. When you send a form, it also records how you arrived at the site where that is available: the landing page, the referring site, any campaign tags in the link and an advertising click identifier. Your browser keeps those details on your device until you send a form, and they are sent only to us, with your form, so we can tell which channels produce genuine enquiries. We do not buy data about you. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read; it does not use cookies and does not collect your name or contact details. Apart from that and those details, we do not collect information from your device beyond what is needed to serve the site.

The checker on this site (does it affect me?) runs in your browser. Your answers to it are not sent anywhere.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, give you the fixed fee you asked for, assess whether a formal valuation engagement makes sense and, if you engage us, carry out that engagement. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who handles it

Your form goes to Oliver Group’s enquiry system, which records it in our practice management system, and a copy is kept in our lead store. Oliver Group arranges your property valuation with a property valuer, who prepares and signs it. For a property valuation, that valuer receives the details needed to quote for and prepare it.

How it is stored and protected

Submissions travel over an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS) and are stored in private, access-controlled storage on Cloudflare infrastructure, accessible only to Oliver Group. Formal engagement working files are retained for 10 years in line with professional standards; everything else follows the retention rules below.

How long we keep it

The website copy of your form is deleted automatically from our lead store after 90 days. Enquiry emails and practice records are retained as ordinary business correspondence and to meet record-keeping obligations. You can request earlier deletion at any time: use the enquiry form or call 03 8375 4177, quote your reference if you have one, and we will delete the submission and confirm.

Who can see it

Oliver Group personnel involved in responding to you and, for a property valuation, the property valuer Oliver Group arranges. Our infrastructure providers (for example Cloudflare, and our email delivery provider) process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations. We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

The connector for AI assistants

The read-only connector at valuationday.com.au/mcp lets assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude look up our published fees, the key facts and the pages on this site. It does not ask for your name or contact details, and it does not store the questions sent to it. If you want a valuation, the assistant sends you to our enquiry form, and this statement applies to what you submit there.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally or professionally required to keep). Contact us through the enquiry form or on 03 8375 4177. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
